Many of the poems contain mature themes, including references to mental health-related issues, suicide, self-harm, abuse, violence, war, and death. Poems marked with a [E] contain explicit language and content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-dd7d27aff9fb698e6c39a61c5c21a72d wp-block-paragraph\">Be prepared to encounter darkness in these poems. More importantly, be ready to challenge feelings and beliefs of hopelessness, worthlessness, shame, and despair. These poems will challenge those feelings because the truth is that healing is possible for you and everyone. These poems will expose darkness and remind us to look for and offer glimpses of resilience, strength, faith, love, and hope, even when \u2014 and perhaps&nbsp;<em>especially when<\/em>&nbsp;\u2014 you feel overwhelmed by the darkness in your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-cc7125f8675ee9866a812351c13fbed9 wp-block-paragraph\">These poems are my journey. They might not be your exact experiences, but you will find yourself in the poems, connecting the words to your situation. I am thankful you are joining me on this journey.
